YuGiOh Pokemon Crossover Chapter Two

I moved on from the map and further into the city. It was bigger than any city I had been to but it reminded me of pictures of Castelia City in Unova.

Me being me means I wasn't watching where I was goin so I ended up bumping into the back of some kid.

"Hey!" he snapped.

"Ooops, er, sorry." I said, then I realised he was just one of a fairly large crowd. "What's goin on?" I asked.

The kid checked my left arm then gave me an odd look. "You're a duellist, you should know what a duel crowd looks like when you see one. Wait, you're a duellist! You have any rare cards?"

I strained to see over the top of the crowd. I could see a guy my age with ridiculously spiky hair that was black AND purple-ish AND blonde battling someone with blue hair. "Probably the rarest." I said.

The small boy's eyes lit up, he could only have been about ten. "Like what? Do you have the Dark Magician or a giant or an Exodia deck?" he was practically jumping up and down now.

I tried to pretend like I knew what they were. "No, not yet but I do have a Lucario and a Ninetails, though."

"I've never even heard of those! I wonder if even Yugi Mutou has them..."

I smiled. Who was Yugi Mutou?? "Yeeaaah... Anyway, who's battl- I mean, duelling?"

The boy bounced again, ready for take off. "Yugi's duelling right now, against Weevil Underwood. You should duel one of them next! Almost all the other duellists left after Battle City but I'm sure Weevil would duel you! With those rare cards, it'd be awesome!" He grabbed my and and started parting the crowd.

"Hey!" I complained but he ignored me.

"Come one! Make way, duellist coming through!" He kept going, pulling me along, until we reached the front of the crowd just as the boy with blue hair lost.

"Face it, Weevil, you don't trust your deck and monsters so you'll never win." the guy who must have been Yugi said.

"I win all the time!" Weevil said, his voice high and weedy. "I'm a Regional Champ! I'll prove my strength - is there another duellist around...?" He caught sight of me and the kid pushed me forward.

"Good luck!" he whispered.

Weevil laughed. "Feeling lucky? I challenge you to a duel..." he waited for my name.

"Yew Harris." I said.

"Then I challenge you to a duel, Yew Harris!" his Duel Disk beeped as it clicked into place. "Let's go!"

"Wait!" I said. "Play y Battle City rules? Winner gets the losers rarest card?"

Weevil shrugged. "Why not?" he smiled as the holo-projectors shot out of his Duel Disk and the crowd murmered excitedly, even Yugi watched intently.

"I shot out my own projectors and Weevil said "Ladies first."

I drew a card. Lucario. I smiled and placed it on the Disk. "I summon Lucario in Attack Mode!" A gasp went up.

"What is that?"

"I've never seen that card before!"

"Is it new?"

Whispers were everywhere as me blue, ninja wolf growled - but I wasn't done yet, the Prof had been able to get me some 'magic cards' used in this game. I selected the right one from my hand. "I also play Quick Attack so Lucario, attack his life points directly!"

Lucario growled and slashed at Weevil. A ding told me his Life Points had been reduced from four thousand to two thousand, nine hundred.

Weevil was only fazed for a few seconds before he shook his head and drew another card. He grinned nastily and placed the card on his Disk. "I play Death Beetle in Defence Mode! I also activate its special ability meaning it can only be destroyed by a card of its own kind." he crossed his arms and looked smug. "I end my turn."

"Same kind, eh?" I asked and looked at my deck, I knew I had one... "Okay, I draw-" I checked and (yes!!) - Ditto! " I play Ditto in Attack Mode, now I use its special ability Transform and attack your beetle!" I said and Ditto went from a purple blob to an exact replica of the black beetle. I attacked, killing the bug but also itself.

"Nice move, but now it's my turn." Weevil said and drew a card. "I summon Bee Queen in Attack Mode!" I took a step back as something that resempled a Vespaquen burst onto the field. "I also use Pot of Greed and draw two new cards." Weevil drew but his face fell. "Damn, I end my turn."

I drew again and smiled. Dialga = JACKPOT!!!! "I summon Dialga to the field in Attack Mode and use its special ability, Time Warm, to deliver one thousand years of damage in one turn!" Weevil's expression was priceless. "Dialga attack his Vespa- I mean, Bug Queen and then his Life Points directly!"

Dialga roared and it was all over in half a minute, Weevil was reduced to a shuddering mass as my Pokémon returned and my holo-projectors flew back.

"Not even three full turns." I heard people whispering as I walked over to Weevil.

"The card?" I asked innocently.

Weevil handed me a card called 'Man-Eater Bug' and I slipped it into my deck as I said "Thanks."

"That was very impressive, who taught you?" A deep voice asked behind me.

"I turned to become face-to-face with Yugi. "Oh, er, I just picked it up as I went. Battling from region to region." I said before I thought and tried to resist the urge to clamp my hand to my mouth.

"Region?" he said, tilting his head slightly.

"Oh, um, we say region for... Country, yeah." This was going to be difficult - walking through a mine field difficult.

"So, where is it you're from? I don't remember seeing you in Battle City but you have a Duel Disk."

"Hoenn. Oh, uh, that's in Your-Rope, I mean, Europe. It's a, uh, small county in... Sweden." I stammered, clawing at anything that could help me.

Before Yugi could ask me more questions, another guy showed up of about the same age with poofy, blonde hair. "That was some duel!" he exclaimed in a vague Brooklyn accent.

"Oh, uh, thanks." I said.

"Can I see your deck?" he asked, an eager glint in his eye."

"Um, sure, I guess." I said and gave him the cards from my Disk.

"I don't recognise any of these monsters, except the one Weevil gave you, and only a few of the trap and spell cards. Here, Yuug, look." he showed the cards to Yugi who also looked baffled.

"These two aren't nerding you out too much, are they?" Another person who I presumed to be with Yugi showed up, his dark brown hair was spiked up in a single horn at the front like a Rapidash.

"Oh, no - it's fine." I smiled, trying to act normal. So many things could go wrong!!

"You can tell us." A girl giggled who had (THANK ARCEUS!!) normal brown hair in a sort of bob. She laughed again. "We have to put up with it constantly." she said, rolling her eyes.

"You like Duel Monsters too, Téa." Yugi said. I did a double take at him. Was it me or had he shrunk? Nobody else said anything so I guessed it was just me.

"Yeah, but you take it to the extreme." The Rapidash guy said.

"Just because you're no good at it, Tristan!" Brooklyn guy snapped.

"Oh like you are Joey." Rapidash, I mean, Tristan scoffed.

"Why, I oughta-"

"Joey, don't start this again." Yugi sighed and handed me back my deck. "You have some very rare cards, where did you get them?"

"Oh, here and there. I got them as I went along. I want to be Champion of Champions, someday. Only Kanto left to go." I mentally facepalmed myself. That's me, Miss Blabbermouth striking again

"Kanto?" Joey asked.

"That's, um, Swedish for America." I said, feeling my face go red.

"You from Sweden, then?" the girl, Téa, asked.

"Somewhere around there." I muttered.

"You'll have a tough time becoming Champ here - Yuug is King of Games, plus there's me." Joey grinned but then his face darkened. "Then again, there's Kaiba, too..."

"Happy thought, Joey, happy thoughts." Tristan laughed.

"Easy for you to say..." Joey started muttering and I thought I heard 'dream', 'dog costume' and 'giant blue eyes'.

By now the crowd had dispersed and the street had returned to being like any other in a city - but with more cars. I'd never seen so many in one place! I could practically feel the pollution.

"Who's Kaiba?" I asked.

"Joey gave me a shocked (and very over-exaggerated) look. "Really??! You don't know who he is?"

"It could take a while, maybe we should find somewhere better to talk." Téa said as someone bumped into her.

"Yeah, let's go." Yugi agreed and we started down the street.
